Brian Criticizes Both Scott and Sink's Solutions for Florida's Economy

"Neither [Alex] Sink nor [Rick] Scott offers price tags for most of their proposals, and both lack specifics about many of their ideas."  so says reporter Mary Ellen Klas of the Times/Herald Tallahassee Bureau, on Monday, September 6, 2010, in the St. Petersburg Times and the Miami Herald.

Here we have two high-profile business executives, representing the two major parties, with backgrounds in private financial and health care institutions, both which have failed miserably in providing quality services to the state's citizens, and have contributed to the failing national economy; plus, commiting continuous and expensive fraud of governmental health programs.

Eventhough Ms. Sink and Mr. Scott represent two different and distinct major political parties, their solutions to our state's debt-ridden economy, and Florida's increasing unemployment rate, are basically the same.....trickle down, and trickle out, of tax money to the select few, at the expense of the many!

Ms. Sink proposes to diversity the eonomy, help small businesses and provide access to investment capital for big business, which sound like wonderful theories and concepts.  However, she "pays for the plan through unspecificed spending, cuts and revenues from an improved economy," states reporter Klas.

And who, pray tell, is going to improve the economy so she can use the tax revenues to create jobs?  What a dreamer!  This is nothing but "empty rhetoric" and false promises!  Her solution is reforming state government and holding politicians accountable, so as to "create a healthy climate for big business to drive growth"?  Give us a break, Ms. Sink.  We were not born yesterday.  You are the one who has to come up with creative and innovation ideas, and systemic reforms in order to stimulate growth!

And Mr. Scott is no better in offering solutions to the state's economy!  He wants to cut government spending, reduce unemployment benefits, restrict lawsuits, and eliminatie expensive regulations on business.  He relies on tax and spending cuts for business "to stimulate job growth." and "pays for it with rising tax revenues spawned by an improved economy."

Great theories, sounds good, but where are the tangible, practical, concrete activities to generate such growth?

Both Sink and Scott are applying old business concepts to conditions that brought the very problems about.  Yet they continue to turn to old worn out cliches and solutions that not only don't work, but caused the debt and unemployment problems in the first place.

If the two would take a look at my idea of a state banking system, maybe they would find some concrete proposals to chew on.

As a candidate I proposed to Improve the state economy with the instalation of a Florida state-run bank, community credit unions and regional cooperatives. Because of lower interest rates for home mortgages, new generation solar automobiles and boat purchases, credit cards and small business loans, the easier access to credit, and the volume of new dollars, this will all generate more low-interest credit for the consumers.  It will also add more capital for the state government to revolve or rotate back to the taxpayer in the form of more attractive loan conditions, cutomiaed to citizen  salary levels.

The result will be a surge of availability of loan money with lower interest rates, generating new housing starts, auto and boat sales, creation of more small businesses, and more jobs, jobs, jobs.  Plus, the increased revenues will enable the state government to utilize the increased funding for social services, education, unemployment and more housing to all economic levels of Florida society.

Yard Signs

The Brian P. Moore campaign for Governor after reviewing several signage companies decided we are to reduce our carbon footprint and recycle. This means the Moore campaign will not be sending out signs to save oil from being used. What we ask is that you the supporter come up with a creative sign that can be made and recycled locally. This will help keep trash down and meet local ordinances for sign removal.
